I have often wondered if number plate makers make or produce anything else as there can’t really be that many number plates to be made.  Once they are made and sent out for the vehicle then that is it.  However, I started thinking about the actual numbers of vehicles both on the road and awaiting licensing to go on the road and it is staggering, so I think they probably do just make number plates and that is all.  They will of course be kept busy with replacements as it is fairly easy to damage a number plate which will then need changing.
