When you hear a word or name you always associate that with something and give meaning to it.  It’s just like the big buddha bags which you thought have the resemblance or design of a Buddha. The description pictures an enormous subject as what the ordinary thought of these sacred beings, but actually they are not just like the bags here.  By the way, a Buddha is a being who has the perfect endowment and his mind is far beyond reach by any human being because of the vastness of his knowledge, and to become one perfect being is to be born in the human form and consecrate the rest of his life to infinite goodness with deepest sense of compassion for all creations whether humans or not until he is able to reach the peak of his perfection that he transcends to become a holy one which sometimes takes eons of lifetime after lifetime since our life is eternal.
