Deciding On An Offer

My husband and I chose to discuss it with our own realtor. She wasn’t selling the house for us, but she would be doing all the paperwork on our end anyway. She went and checked out the house herself. She advised offering ten thousand less than the house was selling for. We did have some wiggle room, because we had met and exceeded the Conventional Loan Requirements. We had more than enough cash to pay the difference if the bank felt the house wasn’t worth the selling price. However, we did want to get this house at a decent price. We had a lot of emotions riding on this, but also our checkbook as well.
