Acne is a skin abnormality, which is caused due to clogging of the pores, when the pores get blocked, the oil or sebum cannot get to the surface and causes acne. There is no specific reason yet found as to why acne occurs however, the way acne occurs is when the pores (also known as the follicles) get blocked and the sebum (oil) cannot flow to the surface as it does naturally when the pores are clear. The main cause of acne is the sex hormone testosterone (present both in men and women) that causes the sebaceous glands (those present at the roots of the hair) to release an excessive quantity of oil. But as we know it, acne problems are not just limited to teenagers, but also can be seen in many adults. The cleansing regime should be followed twice a day and should be adhered to strictly, in order to find the perfect acne solution for oneself.
