The formation of cellulite

There are many studies conducted to discover how cellulite forms, but scientists still cannot be sure 100% about the outcome. Some research has indicated that the accumulation of swollen fat cells is the main culprit of cellulite. These swollen fat cells press the connective fibers and make them bend. As a result, the skin is pulled downward and it appears puckered. Another theory says that hormones are the main cause of cellulite. This is why cellulite only happens after puberty and why it affects more women than men. Other factors that can promote the formation of cellulite is daily habits like lack of exercise and unhealthy diet.
