The Mailbox Vandals are Foiled

We live in the county and had road side mailboxes until about eight years ago. It seemed like we had to replace our box every three months or so as one of the past times of rural teens is mailbox smashing, much to the irritation of the rest of us. It was great to get the central residential mailboxes installed in our subdivision. Now, we have a sturdy lock box for the entire neighborhood. All of our mail stays secure and because there’s several slots for packages, we rarely have to drive all the way to town to pick up larger items. And, obviously, mailbox vandals are almost extinct. We don’t have to replace our mailboxes anymore.
