My brother is a DJ and makes a fairly good secondary income from his business.  He normally only works at it on weekends and usually only one night out of the two actually doing the party.   He does take a lot of time to prepare for his gigs though.   He is somewhat of a perfectionist and always tried to have the right tunes for the right party.  I will watch him working on ares for hours at a time trying to find just the right song from the right artist if he thinks that is the one that they are going to want to hear.
