We Have to Stay Competitive

At our community college, we really try to stay competitive in the new market. Keeping everything status quo and same old just doesn’t cut it anymore, so we have to be really adaptable. Of course, we still offer basic education, but we’ve also started to incorporate trades and technical skills into the curriculum offerings. For example, this year we added dental hygienist programs. We also try to cater our general education to students that want to get those requirements to move onto more advanced education. They can get in those preliminaries at lower cost before they move on to a specialized university program. It’s been a good strategy.
