Guide to scuba diving fins

Diving fins are fins which are attached to your feet, worn likeshoes, when scuba diving. They allow the swimmer to achieve more propulsion power from the feet while scuba diving. Probablyeveryone have seen them on divers, looking like “big clown feet”,or “duck feet”. Using fins, you can swim against the current, something not usually possible without. The better the fin, the more power it will give to the smallmovements of the diver’s feet. When wearing the fins, it isimportant that they support tapping energy from the thighs, and not the calf muscle.Fins can be a little strange to use in the beginning. It is bestto try out several designs, and “forget” that you are wearingthe fins. If you swim like normal, then the fins should simplyfollow, and allow free movement.  If you use a dry-suit, besure to think about that when buying the fin in a shop, so itis still fit with the suit on.Diving fins are a big benefit to the scuba diver, and anydiver should own a pair.
