There are two types of US visa, which are available for citizens of India which are immigrant as well as non immigrant visa:

·    Immigrant Visa:  People apply for US immigrant visa in order to reside permanently in United States of America. In order to be eligible for US visa, one need to be sponsored by the citizen residing in United States, maybe it can be anyone from his relatives or by the employer of the company. For this person need to be presented in front of visa consulate officer for interview in which all the details are reviewed by the visa officer and he only decides to give the immigrant visa to the applicant according to his or her merit. ·    Non immigrant visa: People who want to travel to United States on temporary basis in order to complete their study , job related purpose or for medical treatment or for traveling .There is no such interview for that and person is provided with non immigrant visa with ease. This visa has certain tenure under which person can reside in United States.
